The moment

At my own wedding, a friend of mine was filming as a present for us. I had just decided to become a filmmaker myself, so I begged him for the raw footage to get some practise in editing. He resisted (as would I in the same situation), but eventually, he gave in.  

And there it was, a part that didn’t make it in the final cut. I was walking down the aisle when my husband laid his eyes on me. For a second, he got emotional and tried to hide it by turning his head to the side. To the exact spot where my friend was standing with his camera. Lighting in that picture was bad, and that was why my friend had cut it away. But to me, it was perfect. Full of emotion. A moment to cherish forever. One that I would not even know of, if my friend wasn’t there.
